Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) has won the media planning and buying account for Qatari telco Ooredoo’s digital and offline media in Oman, beating the incumbent Far East Media, according to industry sources. The agency already handles Ooredoo in Iraq through its local operation Asia Cell, while its sister agency Zenith handles the account in Kuwait.
The contract hasn’t been signed yet, according to the same source. When asked for comments, SMG neither denied nor confirmed the news.
