DCT Abu Dhabi has launched a new digital platform that brings the emirate’s 200-plus islands, water sports and marine experiences into one interactive guide.
The Abu Dhabi Islands and Water Sports Guide combines curated itineraries, activity recommendations, licensed operator listings, an interactive map and information on marine protected areas and coastal access.
The platform categorises islands by access status, including highly recommended, accessible, limited access, privately owned and no-visitor-access areas, helping users identify where they can go and what activities are available.
The guide features experiences including sailing, island-hopping and kayaking through Abu Dhabi’s mangrove ecosystems, with users able to connect with licensed operators through the platform.
DCT Abu Dhabi developed the guide with government and industry partners including the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi Maritime.
The platform was launched as part of DCT Abu Dhabi’s participation in Arabian Travel Market 2026 and supports the emirate’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which targets 39.3 million annual visitors by the end of the decade.
