Dubai and London-based sports and automotive PR company, Performance PR, has rebranded as Performance Communications. Founded in London in 2002, and launched in Dubai in 2010, Performance Communications offers PR, digital media relations, event organization, video services and brand partnership services, among others.
The company has recently extended its reach across Europe through a network of affiliates across 12 countries, and is increasingly engaging in communications activities in Asia and Africa.
“Re-branding as Performance Communications may appear to be a small name change, but it is reflective of the blurring lines between PR, marcomms [marketing and communications] and the media landscape,” says Ian Drinkwater, co-founder and director of Performance Communications’ Middle East office, which boasts clients such as Hyundai Motor Company, Bentley Motors, Volvo Trucks, Emirates for Universal Tyres, watchmaker Breitling and the International Cricket Council.
Growing its team of 35 employees, the company has also appointed Meabh O’Reilly as account director, who brings to the table five years of experience with automotive clients, such as Volvo Cars, BMW, Mini and VW. Meabh will be heading up the Bentley and Breitling accounts. Moreover, Rasha Osama Al-Alami and Hamza Mejdi will be joining the company as account executives.
