Havas Middle East has announced three major new appointments to its senior leadership team across functions, in line with its growth. The strategic restructuring is part of the agency's expansion and reinforces its unique ‘Village’ model.
The new structure, set to bolster the management team is as follows; former General Managers Fabio Silveira and Dana Tahir have been made Managing Directors of Havas Creative Middle East and Red Havas Middle East respectively. Naveen Chacko Mathews, previously Head of Business at Havas Media, will now take up the General Manager role for Havas Media UAE.
Fabio, who has been with the Havas Group in multiple markets for over a decade, and Dana, who joined Havas Middle East in 2008, will continue to develop the business; strengthen their business units; and grow client partnerships while focusing on implementing the Havas Village model further.
“I feel great pride to have been part of the journey and transformation of the agency throughout the years, particularly with our integration into the global Red Havas network. This is a testament to the inspiring leadership of Dany Naaman who has empowered and enabled me to pursue a greater vision for our communications agency. I look forward to sustaining our momentum and unlocking greater possibilities with our passionate and fearless team.” Dana Tahir, Managing Director, Red Havas Middle East
“My history with Havas has been extraordinary. Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on different parts of the business, with local, regional, and global remits. I am proud of the extension of my responsibilities and thankful to our leadership and teams who supported my journey.” added Fabio Silveira, Managing Director, Havas Creative Middle East
Naveen, who joined Havas Media in 2014 as Head of Business, consistently providing valuable support and making a significant impact across all clients, teams, and specifically, new business initiatives resulting in notable wins, now oversees all media operations in the UAE, leveraging disciplines and tools to better serve clients. Naveen will continue to support Havas Media CEO Houda Tohme in growing the agency’s strategic offering and specialties. At the same time, Houda prioritizes the Media Group’s expansion into new Middle Eastern markets and the harmonization of the services and talent of our operation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Commenting on the promotion, Naveen Chacko Mathews, General Manager, Havas Media UAE said, “Our leadership’s trust and encouragement have allowed me to drive things forward at Havas Media, with the incredible support of all our teams. I am proud to share the Havas vision which motivates us to grow and fosters a culture of positive change. It is a testament to how far we have come as an agency in the region. I’m proud to take on this new role and am excited to further evolve the agency and its offerings.”
“Naveen's promotion is a well-deserved progression and comes as no surprise. His dedication and strategic thinking as Head of Business ensured focal contributions and remarkable results that have been instrumental in driving the success of our media agency.” added Houda Tohme, CEO of Havas Media Middle East
“Our operation in the region has delivered exceptional results. Our work is being increasingly acknowledged and awarded globally, and across our main pillars: creative, PR, and media. This is a testament to the remarkable ability of Dana, Fabio, and Naveen to stimulate growth for our people, our clients, and our agencies. I am confident that together, they will continue to inspire our talent, push further our integrated offering, enhance the quality of our work and services, and drive our ambitious growth plans in the region,” said Dany Naaman, CEO of Havas Middle East
