Music streaming platform Anghami and streaming service OSN+ have partnered with cryptocurrency exchange OKX in a deal that will offer selected customers subscription benefits and bring the companies together on entertainment and community initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa.

The partnership covers Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and the Levant, the companies said on Wednesday.

Eligible OKX customers in those markets will receive six months of access to Anghami Plus and OSN+, under the agreement.

The companies said the wider partnership would include music events featuring regional artists, viewing events for selected OSN+ releases and a thought-leadership series focused on entertainment, finance and technology.

The collaboration will also include media projects and co-branded integrations tied to selected content releases and cultural events, they said.

The deal comes as entertainment platforms and technology companies seek to build deeper connections with audiences in a region where digital services and streaming have expanded rapidly.

Choucri Khairallah, chief business officer at Anghami and OSN+, said the partnership would combine the companies’ entertainment offerings with OKX’s technology and user communities.

“For years, the conversation around crypto has focused on investing. Increasingly, its biggest opportunity is enabling the digital economy itself,” Rifad Mahasneh, regional CEO at OKX MENA & CIS, said.

The companies did not disclose financial terms of the partnership.

Further details on participating artists, OSN+ titles, venues, speakers and activation dates will be announced later, they said.
