Following its inaugural 2023 launch, the conference is back, this time to be hosted in Riyadh on the 4th of September 2024. Under its foundational theme of breaking gender stereotypes to drive creative change, the forum aims to continue celebrating and empowering women in the marketing, advertising, creative, media, and tech industries across the MENA region.
According to a study by McKinsey & Company, companies with gender-diverse executive teams are 21% more likely to outperform their peers on profitability. Additionally, the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2023 highlights that closing the gender gap in the MENA region could boost the region's GDP by up to 25%.
The Kingdom’s inclusive Vision 2030 aims to diversify and strengthen the nation’s economy, leading to Saudi Arabia being ranked number one in terms of economic and social progress for women out of 190 economies. This progress is evident in the increasing number of women receiving advanced degrees, enrolling in STEM, and owning 40% of small and medium-sized startups in the nation.
Women empowerment is at the heart of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 program with the listed ambition of increasing women's participation in the job market from 22% to 30%.
While remaining committed to championing gender diversity and inclusion in the industry and keeping the above stated data in mind, Communicate will be hosting the second edition of its Women to Watch Forum in Riyadh this year on the 4th of September. The conference aims to serve as a platform that celebrates the achievements of women, addresses ongoing challenges, and paves the way for future generations.
The forum will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including renowned industry leaders and pioneers who will share their insights, experiences, and strategies for driving gender diversity and inclusion within the industry. Taking inspiration from last year’s exquisite line-up of speakers from the likes of organizations such as UN Women, LinkedIn, Google, Chalhoub Group, Nestle Middle East, Adidas, Volkswagen Middle East and more, this year the conference plans on bringing together thought leaders, influencers, and change-makers to share strategies and insights on navigating the creative landscape for women across the MENA region.
