IMI Media Academy has appointed Chantal Saliba as Media & Training Director and Khalid Al Hosani as Operations Director as part of efforts to strengthen its leadership team and support the next phase of growth.
The academy said the appointments reflect its ambition to expand its regional footprint after training more than 1,000 professionals and collaborating with over 100 local and international partners from the public and private sectors.
As Media & Training Director, Saliba will oversee the development and delivery of training programmes, focusing on curriculum innovation, programme quality, and trainer development. A certified coach trainer, she brings extensive newsroom and broadcast experience to the position.
Saliba has been associated with Sky News Arabia since October 2014 as a news and programme presenter, a role she will continue alongside her new responsibilities. During her career, she has covered major political events and conducted interviews with prominent figures.
Commenting on her appointment, Saliba said: “IMI Media Academy has built a strong foundation grounded in quality, relevance, and real world impact. My focus is on strengthening our programmes by combining professional media practice with coaching based learning, ensuring participants gain confidence, clarity, and skills they can apply immediately.”
Meanwhile, Al Hosani will be responsible for operational strategy, programme execution, partner engagement, and client experience to support the academy’s expansion.
Before taking up the new role, he served as Head of Business Support and Administration at IMI, where he led several key projects, including the transition to the organisation’s new headquarters, and supervised operational and government-related functions such as security, logistics, and administrative services.
Speaking about his new role, Al Hosani said: “The Academy is entering an important phase of growth. My priority is to ensure strong operational foundations that support our trainers, partners, and clients, while enabling the Academy to scale with consistency and impact.”
The academy said the leadership changes follow a period of growth in 2025, during which it delivered more than 800 hours of training with support from over 50 certified trainers. Through its partnership with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, more than 200 university students also completed a fully funded training programme.
IMI Media Academy offers courses in media skills, leadership, soft skills, executive coaching, AI skills, content creation, podcasting, media handling, and public speaking programmes such as Speaking with Influence.
The academy said the expanded leadership team and growing partnerships will help it focus on widening its reach and delivering future-ready training programmes for professionals and organisations.
