Watermelon Communications, a homegrown marketing and communications agency, today announced a strategic partnership with Brescia-based PR, marketing and digital consultancy, Soluzione Group, a Public Relations Network (PRN) agency, to extend its reach to Italy and Europe in general offering services to its existing and new clients. Watermelon Communications currently has offices in Dubai, Doha and Singapore.
“We see a need to this partnership as a number of companies in this region have existing and potential business interests in Italy and vice versa. Our tie-up is all the more important, as we are at the threshold of Expo Milan 2015. Now, we can act as a gateway to Italian and European companies aiming to enter the GCC and Middle Eastern markets. Moreover, our involvement with participants at Expo Milan 2015 will be a benchmark for us to gear up for Expo 2020”, says Madhu Kuttat, managing Director, Watermelon Communications, in a press statement.
“For the period 2015 – 2018, Soluzione Group is developing a real internationalization policy and the choice to work with the UAE and Gulf Countries is based on the opportunities that this region offers Italian companies and vice versa. We are sure this partnership will be an effective and strategic support to obtain significant results, visibility and business reputation in their markets of interest,” adds Anna Pelucchi of Soluzione Group.
Bilateral trade between the UAE and Italy exceeded €6.9 billion (AED 34.3 billion) in 2014, out of which about four fifths of that trade consisted of exports from Italy to the Emirates. In the wake of Expo Milan 2015, the business interests between the UAE and Italy has heightened with more and more companies seeking possible alliances. The UAE Pavilion at Expo Milan 2015 will be one of the biggest, indicating the emergent interests.
The agreement between Watermelon and Soluzione could facilitate new and existing business relations while opening up new vistas for expansion. Both the agencies with their respective regional experience and insights could act as consultants and facilitators for companies in the GCC and Italy to work together and exchange expertise.
