Sahar Rafique Takes Charge as Managing Director for Akama Holding’s Latest Venture
Previously Events Director at Mediaquest Corporation, Sahar Rafique will now be taking the role of Managing Director for the parent company, Akama Holding’s brand-new venture - NordStella.
Sahar Rafique joined Mediaquest Corporation in 2010 as a Senior Events Executive. In her role, she coordinated all aspects of event planning from conceptualizing to structuring and executing various corporate events such as the MENA Effie Awards, Top CEO Awards, Marketing to Women, and the Parent to Child Conference. She then took over as the Events Director for Mediaquest Corporation in 2020 and elevated the media and publishing house events agenda for a fast-moving, ever-evolving, and digitized world.
As part of her new role, Rafique will now be spearheading strategy, conceptualization, and execution for a brand-new venture launched by Akama Holding. NordStella is a new-age events management company set to officially launch next year. It is a full-service events organization specializing in curating experiences using innovative solutions from across the spectrum.
In a post-pandemic world, NordStella aims to culminate both next-gen and in-person events strategies to help its clients drive customer engagement thus strengthening the brand’s awareness. As its content and media arm, Communicate will allow the new venture to engage and reach audiences across the region while also enabling new possibilities for the company in the B2B marketplace.
Commenting on her promotion, Rafique says, “I am looking forward to innovating and transforming events planning and marketing for our clients. Mediaquest has provided me with a legacy and prestige to carry on with and I really excited to capitalize on the same and embark on some fresh ideas to take NordStella to another level.”
