HP Inc. on Tuesday unveiled new AI-powered devices, security features and workflow solutions at its HP Imagine 2026 event, aimed at supporting businesses and individuals in an AI-driven future of work.
“As we look ahead, the future of work is about making work simpler in a world that’s getting more complex,” interim CEO Bruce Broussard said in a statement. “At HP, we’re focused on using AI to create more connected experiences that help organizations move faster and help people do their best work.”
Right tools equal positivity
HP cited its 2025 Work Relationship Index, which found that 20% of workers have a healthy relationship with work, while 22% experience monthly technology issues that disrupt focus. Employees equipped with the right tools are twice as likely to feel positive about their work and report a 33-point improvement in overall experience scores, the company said, adding that its internal deployment of AI PCs drove a 16% productivity increase.
The company introduced HP IQ, a platform designed to bring on-device AI capabilities and proximity-based connectivity to workplace devices. Features include tools that respond to text and voice inputs, analyze documents such as PDFs and presentations, organize notes, and capture meeting insights.
HP IQ will debut on the next generation of EliteBook X G2 AI PCs and can be configured and deployed through enterprise tools, including Microsoft Intune.
NearSense: Enabling devices to discover and connect with each other
HP also introduced NearSense, a spatial intelligence technology that enables devices to discover and connect with each other, supporting functions such as drag-and-drop file sharing between nearby PCs and one-click access to meetings. The company said it plans to expand NearSense across its ecosystem, including video conferencing systems, printers and workstations.
Among hardware announcements, HP unveiled the EliteBook 6 G2q AI PC, designed for mobile professionals, featuring Snapdragon processors capable of supporting AI workloads, along with 5G connectivity, extended battery life and embedded security features including HP Wolf Pro Security.
HP also announced updates to its workstation portfolio, including the Z8 Fury, designed to support AI development, visual effects and simulation workloads with support for multiple GPUs from NVIDIA.
In security, HP introduced TPM Guard, a hardware-based protection designed to prevent physical attacks targeting encryption systems, along with expanded capabilities in its HP Wolf Security platform.
The company also launched new printer lines, including the LaserJet Pro 4000/4100 series for small and medium businesses and the LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 series for larger organizations. HP said the enterprise series includes AI-powered document processing features that can reduce manual processing time by up to 50%.
HP said it is expanding its Workforce Experience Platform with features including AI-generated remediation tools, telemetry reporting, sustainability tracking and integration with Microsoft Teams.
The company also announced updates to its ZBook mobile workstation lineup and enhancements to its large-format printing ecosystem, aimed at connecting digital design workflows with on-site execution.
