TikTok has announced the return of Community Fest, a summer-long initiative aimed at helping creators build stronger communities through educational workshops and in-app competitions on TikTok LIVE.
The event begins on June 11 and will run through August 2026, culminating in a series of in-person events around the world. The programme is open to both emerging and established creators, who can participate in challenges, complete in-app missions, earn points while streaming LIVE, and unlock community growth milestones.
As part of this year’s edition, TikTok is introducing the first-ever Community Fest Creator Academy, a global workshop series streamed on @tiktok_livefest and @tiktoklive_MENA. The academy is designed to help creators learn how to build and engage communities through LIVE content.
The workshops will feature creators from different regions sharing their experiences and strategies for audience growth. Topics will include technical guidance for new LIVE creators, techniques for engaging audiences in real time, and ways to use TikTok LIVE tools and campaigns to build dedicated communities.
The curriculum covers subjects such as: “LIVE 101: Build a strong foundation for going LIVE and discover key technical tips to get started”; “The Art of Connection: Learn to connect with your audience in the first five minutes and engage in real time”; and “Building Your Community: Gain insight into how to leverage TikTok LIVE tools and campaigns to build a vibrant and dedicated audience.”
In the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the academy will feature creators including @kotaiba.alali, a music creator known for his LIVE singing performances, who will host a session on June 12 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM GST.
Another featured creator, @douhalaribiii, will lead a late-night session beginning at 11:59 PM on June 12 and continuing until 1:00 AM on June 13 GST. TikTok described her as one of the platform’s rising creators in the region, known for beauty and lifestyle content and for cultivating a dedicated community known as the “Purple Heart Girls.”
TikTok said Community Fest has become a major platform for creator engagement and discovery. According to the company, more than two million creators participated in the event in 2025.
“In 2025, over two million creators participated in Community Fest. Across all stages of their LIVE journey, creators showed the power of growing together and fostered new opportunities for discovery and collaboration,” TikTok said.
The company said the initiative is designed to encourage creators to connect with audiences, learn from one another, and expand their presence on TikTok LIVE.
