Strategic communications firm Shakespeare Communications has announced CompassPoint Consulting as its newest client, as the Dubai-based financial advisory company looks to strengthen its international communications and thought-leadership presence.

CompassPoint Consulting, which operates across the UK and GCC, provides fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) services, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and operational advisory support to growth-stage companies. The boutique firm focuses on helping founders and executives improve financial discipline, operational efficiency, and long-term growth strategies.

The company was founded by finance professionals Zaid Aboobaker and Zain ul Abideen, who aim to provide companies with senior-level financial expertise without the cost of hiring full-time CFOs.

Explaining the firm’s approach, Aboobaker said CompassPoint focuses on helping businesses move beyond basic accounting by improving profitability, strengthening financial planning, and using technology to connect finance, data, and strategy.

Under the new mandate, Shakespeare Communications will support CompassPoint Consulting with media outreach, executive profiling, and thought-leadership initiatives across global business and financial publications.

Commenting on the partnership, Shakespeare Communications founder and CEO Ananda Shakespeare said CompassPoint represents the type of high-quality, strategy-driven business the consultancy seeks to work with. She added that the growing number of entrepreneurs and scale-ups in the UAE is increasing demand for strong financial leadership and structured growth strategies.

Aboobaker said the partnership would help the firm reach a broader audience of founders and decision-makers as it expands across the GCC. He noted that Shakespeare Communications was selected for its strategic approach and ability to simplify complex business ideas for wider audiences.

Founded in 2025, CompassPoint Consulting has been gaining traction by offering experienced financial and operational leadership through a fractional model, which is increasingly being adopted by startups and scale-ups seeking flexible access to senior expertise.

The company is also backed by entrepreneur and investor James Caan, known for his appearances on the BBC show Dragons’ Den, along with his private equity firm Hamilton Bradshaw. The backing is expected to support CompassPoint’s growth strategy and expand its global network.

The collaboration will focus on increasing CompassPoint’s visibility through expert commentary, contributed articles, and executive interviews on topics such as strategic finance, business scaling in the GCC, and the growing adoption of fractional leadership models.
