Qiddiya Investment Company and Google Cloud announced an expanded partnership on Monday to build the digital infrastructure for Qiddiya City, one of the world’s largest entertainment developments.
Under the agreement, systems integrator Master Works will deploy Google Cloud technology across the entertainment destination, which spans about 360 square kilometers, roughly three times the geographic size of Paris.
Qiddiya said the project forms part of Saudi Vision 2030, the kingdom’s economic diversification strategy launched in 2016 to reduce reliance on oil revenues.
The development includes more than 20 neighborhoods integrating sports stadiums, gaming districts and arts venues into a connected entertainment ecosystem.
AI Technologies To Support Smart City Operations
Qiddiya said it would deploy Google Cloud’s data and artificial intelligence technologies to support city operations and provide real-time insights into construction progress, visitor demand and operational efficiency.
The company said the system would reduce the time needed to generate operational insights from weeks to minutes.
“Our goal is a seamless digital experience that connects Qiddiya City with our growing nationwide entertainment portfolio,” Abdulrahman Alali, chief technology officer at Qiddiya Investment Company, said in a statement.
Alali said Google Cloud’s technology and Master Works’ integration capabilities would help establish a data-driven operating framework for the project.
Partnership Includes AI Factory And Unified Data Platform
The expanded collaboration centers on three technology components.
The first is an AI Factory built using Google’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, which Qiddiya said would analyze visitor behavior, spending and movement patterns to improve guest experiences and support predictive crowd management.
The second is Q-Brain, Qiddiya’s proprietary agentic AI platform powered by Gemini models, which the company said would provide real-time operational intelligence and autonomous task execution across the destination.
The third component is a unified data platform built on BigQuery that will consolidate data from Qiddiya’s entertainment destinations into a centralized system.
Qiddiya said the platform would serve as a single source of truth while providing processing capabilities needed to operate a smart city at scale.
Google Cloud Highlights Saudi Vision 2030 Technology Goals
“By integrating Google Cloud’s global-scale infrastructure and cutting-edge AI into its operations, Qiddiya is building a foundation that turns massive data into actionable intelligence,” Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, managing director at Google Cloud Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, said in a statement.
Google Cloud said its AI infrastructure and integrated technology stack would support Qiddiya’s efforts to digitally optimize operations in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
Qiddiya said flagship attractions, including Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia, are already open to the public as the broader development continues expanding.
The company said Qiddiya City is expected to attract more than 40 million visitors annually and eventually house around 500,000 residents.
