Omnicom Group said the integration of Interpublic Group (IPG) is nearing completion, as the combined advertising group reported stronger organic revenue growth and improved operating margins in the third quarter of 2026.
Omnicom reported organic revenue growth of 7.2% in the third quarter compared with the same period last year, up from 6.1% in the second quarter and 3.9% in the first quarter. Total revenue stood at $6.42 billion, while revenue excluding disposed assets was $6.01 billion.
Operating margin rose to 18.2% in the third quarter, compared with 17.8% in the second quarter and 14.8% in the first quarter.
Omnicom completed its acquisition of IPG less than a year ago. The company has sold $412 million in assets as part of the integration, with only a few non-core businesses, primarily in specialty marketing, remaining to be disposed of.
The merger brought the two major advertising holding companies together under Omnicom, which is now working to integrate their identity, media and marketing intelligence capabilities across its agencies.
The group’s priorities include expanding the use of Acxiom’s Real ID identity solution, connecting it with Omnicom Media and extending those capabilities across its agencies through the Omni marketing intelligence platform.
Omnicom is also expanding the use of artificial intelligence in media planning and buying. Its Omni platform uses AI agents to help turn marketing intelligence into action and measurable outcomes, according to the company.
The group has also clarified that access to its AI tools is not tied to clients’ purchases of principal media inventory. Under the principal media model, clients opt into media products that offer savings, but Omnicom said it does not condition access to AI capabilities on participation in these arrangements.
