MEPRA’s Youth Board Builds a Time Machine for PR Talent

Dubai’s next generation of PR pros just got a direct line to the people who’ve already lived it.

The MEPRA Youth Board has launched “Time Machine: PR Edition,” a new fireside chat series pairing emerging PR talent with senior leaders from the MEPRA Strategy Board — walking through their career journeys inside specific industries, what they’d change in hindsight, and how to break in today.

Tania Kteily, President of the MEPRA Youth Board and Associate Director at Weber Shandwick MENAT, said the goal was to move past generic training content: “We also know there’s no shortage of trainings and webinars out there, so we wanted to create something less generic and more human, and that could resonate differently. That’s why we launched this initiative: taking industry experts back to the start of their careers, almost like a time machine, yet this time equipped with decades of knowledge, to give emerging talent the insights they need to succeed in that industry.”

Dates for the diary:

  • 23 September 2026: Retail & Fashion: Lynn Al Khatib, VP Brand & Communications at Chalhoub Group, hosted by Tania Kteily.
  • 14 October 2026 — Automotive: Rasha Ghanem, Director of Public Affairs and Communications at Ford MENA, hosted by Sarah Al Salem, Communications Manager at Uber Middle East.
  • 12 November 2026 — Hospitality & Tourism: Gehan Sidky, Head of PR & Communications at RAKTDA, hosted by Alexandra Richards, Associate Account Director and Head of Atelier Division at Gambit Communications.

Sessions run virtually, are open to all, and include live Q&A. Registration is via mepra.org.

For an industry constantly debating how to build its next generation of talent, MEPRA’s bet is specificity over generic upskilling,  sector-by-sector, mentor-to-mentee, career map included.
