Dubai’s iconic children’s mascot Modesh is joining forces with global phenomenon Baby Shark for the first time, with an original song and an exclusive live show set to debut during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2026.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the collaboration brings together Modesh and his best friend Dana with Baby Shark, created by The Pinkfong Company, in what organisers describe as Modesh’s biggest crossover to date.
The partnership will debut “Modesh and Baby Shark: A City of Endless Adventures!” on July 18 as part of Dubai Summer Surprises 2026’s “A City of Endless Adventures” campaign.
According to the organisers, the collaboration combines two globally recognised children’s brands, with the original Baby Shark video having surpassed 17 billion views on YouTube. They said the partnership aims to introduce Modesh to a wider international audience while showcasing Dubai through music and family entertainment.
The collaboration will also extend to Modesh World, one of the region’s largest indoor family entertainment destinations, where a new live stage show featuring Modesh, Dana and Baby Shark will begin on July 18.
The performances will include singalongs, dance routines and interactive segments, followed by Meet & Greet sessions where families can meet all three characters.
For more than 25 years, Modesh has been the face of Dubai Summer Surprises, becoming one of the city’s best-known family characters and a fixture of the annual festival.
The exclusive live show and Meet & Greet featuring Baby Shark, Modesh and Dana will run daily at Modesh World at Dubai World Trade Centre until July 31 as part of Dubai Summer Surprises 2026.
