Communicate has published its Cannes Lions 2026 special issue, offering an in-depth look at the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the MENA advertising, marketing and media industry. The issue brings together insights from leading agency executives, marketers and industry experts, while exploring how the region is navigating economic uncertainty, accelerating digital transformation and preparing for its next phase of growth.

Among the cover stories is The $11 Billion Market the World Can’t Ignore, which argues that MENA has become a strategically important advertising market driven by rapid digital adoption and government-led transformation. Another major feature, MENA Advertising’s Great Reset: The Next Boom Is Still Ahead, examines why industry leaders believe the current downturn is creating a more resilient, technology-driven and culturally relevant marketing ecosystem. As the story notes, “this is not a recovery. It is a reset.”

The special issue also explores why Cannes Lions 2026 Won’t Reward Creativity Alone, the rise of nation branding across the GCC, the transformation of tourism, retail, fintech and FMCG sectors, and features six regional Cannes jurors helping shape the global creative agenda. In his editorial, Communicate CEO Julien Hawari writes: “Be ready to be surprised by the Middle East — by the speed of its recovery, by its creativity, and by its execution.”
