Vision magazine – a quarterly publication offering fresh perspectives from Dubai – has launched an interactive app for today’s readers who increasingly consume news and information through digital media.
By featuring exclusive multimedia content and image galleries, the app gives readers an immersive experience, offering a new and complementary take on the traditional print magazine and existing online offering.
The app is now available for free download for smartphones and tablet users on the iOS App Store here and readers can also access the app via their internet browser here.
With content that can be easily shared across social networking sites, the app will drive further engagement with readers and ties in with other recent updates including a refreshed look and feel and the inclusion of music features online to showcase the most exciting talent emerging from the region and beyond.
The debut digital edition features Kevin Spacey on the cover, who explains why he is championing the region’s theatre scene through his Middle East Theatre Academy. Readers also have the opportunity to view exclusive video footage of Dubai’s cycling scene, as well as an image gallery of the emirate’s state-of-the-art Hamdan Sports Complex, in a special feature looking at the social and economic benefits of sport.
Looking ahead to future editions, readers can expect to see exclusive content from the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. Vision is an official international media sponsor of the event and will stage a series of interviews with some of the festival’s most eminent guest authors in addition to capturing behind-the-scenes footage from across the five days.
Available in English, Vision’s digital offering presents an opportunity for advertisers too. The digital app will be available on a quarterly basis in line with the print magazine.
