In recognition of Autism Awareness Month this April, The Brain & Performance Centre, a DP World company, is launching an initiative to raise awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the support available for children with ASD in the United Arab Emirates. The centre supports a high-profile Everest Base Camp expedition led by renowned adventurer and former UK Special Forces operator Ant Middleton.
The initiative, which brings together local and international organisations, highlights the importance of evidence-based, multidisciplinary treatment programmes for children with cognitive and physical challenges. As part of this effort, a team from The Brain & Performance Centre will undertake the trek, with the journey captured in a documentary-style format to be shared across multiple platforms to further amplify awareness.
