Following a multi-agency pitch earlier this year, Socialize has been awarded the digital communications and social media mandate for Sony across the Middle East and Africa region.
The account was previously handled by independent agency, Qrious.
Socialize has been tasked with increasing awareness and interest around Sony’s diverse range of products across televisions, audio, digital imaging, recording media and car audio categories.
Commenting on this win, Mathew Mathai, general manager for Marketing Communications at Sony MEA says in a statement: “We are pleased to join forces with Socialize and look forward to a long-lasting and collaborative relationship. Social media is a key platform for us to connect with our digitally savvy consumers and cultivate an active community of advocates for the brand. We’re looking forward to delivering innovative, mobile-first customer experiences, together.”
Aurelien Fonteneau, group account director at Socialize adds, “Sony’s passion for technology and relentless pursuit of innovation has inspired our teams. Having worked with the brand in the past, Socialize is excited to be working with Sony MEA’s forward-thinking team of marketers, and we’re looking forward to working with the same team again and deliver world-class digital campaigns.”
