KOOORA.com, the regional popular online sports destination, scored 700 million page views, and attracted 22.8 million unique visitors in April 2014, beating all previous records in its 12-year history.
Since January, KOOORA.com has witnessed a 25 percent growth in online traffic. The portal, which was established in 2002, now attracts 61 percent of all views to sports websites in the Middle East and North Africa, and within the GCC region, its market share rose to 65 percent, according to Effective Measure.

Visitors flocked to read KOOORA.com’s comprehensive coverage of the quarter- and semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, as well as its exclusive interview with Real Madrid star player Luka Modrić.
Other exclusive stories included an expose of rumors that German broadcaster ZDF was looking to broadcast the World Cup for free in the Arab world. KOOORA.com obtained an exclusive interview with the head of the network, revealing that the rumors – which were reported by several of the region’s best-known media outlets – were false. That story was picked up by several international news outlets, including Reuters, who gave full credit to KOOORA.com.
