TBWA\RAAD has appointed Dany Aouad as managing director for Saudi Arabia, as the agency expands its presence in one of the region’s fastest-growing marketing markets.
The agency, part of Omnicom Advertising Group, said the appointment takes effect immediately and reflects its focus on growth in the Kingdom as economic and cultural reforms continue under Saudi Vision 2030.
Aouad brings more than 25 years of experience in advertising and communications across the Middle East and North Africa. He most recently served as general manager at Impact BBDO Saudi Arabia, where he led the build-out and expansion of the agency’s operations in the Kingdom since 2022.
TBWA\RAAD said the appointment comes at a “pivotal moment” for the Saudi market, as it positions itself to capitalize on changing business conditions and increased demand for marketing services.
“Dany is exactly the kind of visionary leader TBWA\RAAD needs to seize the extraordinary opportunity Saudi Arabia presents right now,” said Reda Raad, group chief executive at TBWA\RAAD. He cited Aouad’s experience in digital transformation and brand building across multiple markets, as well as his understanding of the Kingdom’s business environment.
In a statement, Aouad said Saudi Arabia is “redefining what’s possible in this region,” adding that he aims to build on the agency’s existing operations and further develop its creative and strategic capabilities in the market.
Aouad, a Beirut native, began his career in 1996 at Leo Burnett Dubai and later held senior roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey Worldwide. He has also been involved in social and economic initiatives in the Middle East, including work with independent non-governmental organizations in Lebanon.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration from Concordia University.
