Merkle MENA has promoted Deepak Mankani to Head of Integrated Customer Experience Management Strategy, expanding his remit as the agency seeks to strengthen its customer experience and AI capabilities across the region.

Mankani, who previously led Merkle MENA’s Search Experience and generative AI practice, will now oversee an integrated strategy spanning analytics, customer relationship management, experience design, search, and generative AI.

The move comes as brands across the Middle East and North Africa increase investment in data-driven customer engagement and AI-enabled marketing tools to adapt to shifting consumer behavior and digital platforms.

In his new role, Mankani will focus on commercial and product strategy, strategic partnerships, and the development of a scalable center-of-excellence model in collaboration with Merkle’s Europe, Middle East and Africa network.

Merkle MENA Chief Executive Andreas Skopal said Mankani had helped clients navigate evolving search ecosystems and the growing influence of AI-driven experiences, while delivering measurable business outcomes.

Mankani said the appointment would enable the company to better integrate its capabilities across the customer journey, helping clients manage complexity and create more commercially effective experiences.

Merkle, part of Dentsu, has been expanding its regional capabilities in customer experience transformation, analytics, commerce, CRM, and AI as demand grows for connected, technology-led marketing solutions.
