Katch International has been appointed by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Middle East office to lead its public relations and social media activities across the GCC, adding another international destination to the agency’s growing tourism portfolio.

Under the new mandate, the integrated communications agency will promote Hong Kong to GCC audiences through strategic PR and social storytelling, positioning the city as one of Asia’s leading travel destinations for regional travellers.

The appointment strengthens Katch International’s destination marketing credentials as the agency continues to expand its portfolio across hospitality, tourism, corporate communications, luxury, entertainment, automotive and lifestyle sectors. With offices in Dubai, Riyadh and London, the agency has been growing its international client base alongside its Middle East operations.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board, a government-subvented organisation responsible for marketing Hong Kong as a global travel destination, works with government bodies and industry stakeholders to promote the city while enhancing the visitor experience.

As part of its remit, Katch will develop integrated communications campaigns highlighting Hong Kong’s year-round events, culinary scene, family attractions, luxury experiences, cultural offerings and seasonal initiatives for travellers across the GCC.

Commenting on the appointment, Georgie Woollams, Founder and Managing Director at Katch International, said, “This is an incredibly exciting addition to our portfolio and a partnership we are immensely proud of. Hong Kong is one of the world’s most vibrant and dynamic destinations, with an extraordinary ability to blend culture, innovation, entertainment, and heritage into one truly unforgettable visitor experience. Katch has always sought to work with brands and organisations that inspire people and create meaningful connections, and the Hong Kong Tourism Board does exactly that. Hong Kong has so much to offer and we are looking forward to introducing even more GCC travellers to experience this one of a kind destination.”

The account win comes as outbound travel from the GCC continues to grow, with travellers increasingly seeking cultural experiences, premium hospitality and entertainment destinations. For Katch International, the partnership represents another step in its strategy to expand its international destination marketing portfolio while delivering integrated communications campaigns for global tourism brands in the Middle East.
