Actor and performer Nora Fatehi has released Siir Siir, a song that forms part of the official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, marking what she described as a significant moment for both her career and India’s presence on the global stage.
The track has been created in collaboration with music producer Sanjoy and French singer Vegedream. It is among the songs featured on the official album for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which brings together artists from different parts of the world.
Fatehi, who is also set to perform at the opening ceremony of the tournament, said the anthem holds special significance because it reflects a blend of cultures and musical traditions.
“I really wanted to bring together every part of my identity, from my Moroccan roots, to my Canadian roots as well as the huge influence India has had on me with all the love I have received from the country and the South Asian community at large, which has been so instrumental in my journey,” Nora said.
The performer said the project represented a unique collaboration that celebrates cultural diversity and the global appeal of football.
Highlighting the Indian contribution to the project, Fatehi said, “What makes this song even more meaningful is the strong Indian representation behind the scenes, from the choreographer and dancers to the styling team, everyone played a huge role in bringing this vision to life…..Creating this song for a global event like the FIFA World Cup 2026 for me is almost unreal! It feels like a full-circle moment where different cultures, sounds and people come together. In my own way I hope I am able to bring the amazing sounds of the East to the world.”
According to Fatehi, the song’s distinctiveness lies in the way it showcases Indian talent and culture to a global audience, with Indian dancers, choreographers and stylists playing a key role in its production and visual presentation.
The release of Siir Siir comes as preparations gather pace for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with the song adding an Indian touch to one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
