Dubai Municipality has introduced new guidelines to regulate outdoor advertising across the emirate, aiming to improve advertising quality and ensure that advertisements align with the city’s visual and cultural identity.
The Advertising Content Regulation Guidelines for the Emirate of Dubai establish common standards for outdoor advertisements, covering written content, images, logos, animations, digital displays and interactive advertising formats.
According to Dubai Municipality, the framework is designed to enhance the quality of advertising while encouraging creativity and innovation in design. It also seeks to ensure that advertisements complement Dubai’s urban landscape and preserve its visual appeal.
The guidelines also address the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in outdoor advertising, reflecting changes in advertising formats and creative practices.
The municipality said the unified standards aim to keep pace with technological developments while maintaining consistency in advertising quality and ensuring that outdoor advertisements remain aligned with Dubai’s identity.
Businesses and members of the public seeking further information about the guidelines can contact Dubai Municipality’s call centre on 800900.
