Deloitte has launched the fifth edition of its Technology Fast 50 programme, highlighting the fastest-growing technology companies across the Middle East and Cyprus as regional startup ecosystems continue to mature.
The annual ranking measures companies by revenue growth over the past four years and recognizes businesses across five categories: Fast 50, Rising Star, Impact, Women in Leadership and Kiyadat, an award for established technology firms led by founders and chief executives from the Gulf Cooperation Council.
This year’s results underscore the growing dominance of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia in the region’s technology sector. Three UAE companies and two Saudi firms made up the top five in the main Fast 50 ranking, marking the first time the two markets have so strongly dominated the upper tier.
The Rising Star category, which recognizes younger companies with high growth potential, was composed entirely of businesses from the UAE and Saudi Arabia, reflecting the increasing depth of both ecosystems.
The Impact category, which recognizes companies integrating environmental, social and governance principles into their business models, included 13 companies from the UAE and Saudi Arabia, alongside the programme’s first entrant from Oman.
Meanwhile, the Women in Leadership category recognized 17 companies across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Egypt and Qatar, highlighting the growing role of diverse leadership in the region’s technology sector.
The Kiyadat category featured established technology companies from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain, underscoring the expanding scale and maturity of founder-led businesses in the Gulf.
“The 5th edition of the Technology Fast 50 is not just a reflection of growth, it is a celebration of the stories behind that growth,” Mutasem Dajani, chief executive of Deloitte Middle East, said in a statement.
Selected winners will go on to compete at the Europe, Middle East and Africa level through Deloitte’s EMEA Technology Fast 500 programme, offering regional firms greater international visibility.
