CNN’s flagship events series, Global Perspectives, will be held in Doha on October 29, bringing together political and business leaders, dignitaries and other prominent figures to discuss geopolitics, technology, media and culture, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The event, titled Global Perspectives: In Doha, will take place at Rosewood Doha, with Media City Qatar serving as the host partner. It will be the first time the series is held in the Middle East and Gulf region.
CNN journalists, including Christiane Amanpour, Richard Quest, Becky Anderson and Eleni Giokos, will lead discussions with regional and international leaders on the Gulf’s growing influence in global economic affairs, technological innovation and cultural development.
Interviews and editorial content from the event will be featured across CNN’s platforms.
The event was originally scheduled for April 20 but was postponed due to regional developments. The revised date was agreed following a meeting between CNN Worldwide Chairman and CEO Mark Thompson and Media City Qatar Chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani.
CNN established its operation in Qatar in 2025 and has since expanded its presence through initiatives including CNN Creators and talent development programmes.
The Doha event follows the inaugural Global Perspectives: On Africa summit and the series’ programme at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
