CNN has announced that journalist Charline Bou Mansour will join its CNN Creators line-up as a senior journalist, with the show returning to its base in Doha this week.

Bou Mansour joins from Sky News, where she worked as a digital video reporter. Known for her expertise in digital storytelling and in-depth explainers, she has covered a wide range of cultural, social and geopolitical issues across the Middle East and beyond. In her new role, she will be based in Doha and become a permanent member of the CNN Creators on-air team.

During her time at Sky News, Bou Mansour produced content for both television and digital platforms. She earned a nomination for a Royal Television Society Award for her documentary on endometriosis, and was also nominated for a Future of Media Award for her investigation into the global fertility crisis.

Her reporting portfolio includes a documentary on Yazidi refugee girls in Iraqi Kurdistan rebuilding their lives after the 2014 ISIS genocide, coverage from the Ukraine-Poland border on families fleeing the war, and on-ground reporting from Lebanon following the 2020 Beirut port explosion and its aftermath.

Welcoming her to the team, Meara Erdozain, Senior Vice President of International Programming at CNN, said Bou Mansour brings “sharp, compelling and compassionate storytelling” along with strong multimedia skills.

Fluent in Arabic and of Lebanese origin, Bou Mansour began her career in community radio in London before moving to Global Radio. She holds a master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism from University of Westminster.
