beIN MEDIA GROUP has received the National Information Assurance (NIA) Certification from Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), becoming the first global organisation in the country to complete the certification process.
The certification is part of the NCSA’s National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) and recognises organisations that meet the requirements of Qatar’s National Information Assurance Standard. The standard establishes security controls to protect information assets and strengthen cybersecurity across organisations operating in the country.
The certification covers beIN’s entire organisation, including departments and business processes involved in media production and broadcasting, digital platforms, sports and entertainment rights management, and international distribution across all its locations.
“Achieving the NIA Certification across our entire organisation is an important milestone for beIN and reflects the collective effort behind meeting Qatar’s national information security standards,” said Rashid Abdulla Al-Obaidli, manager of information security architecture, projects, planning and reporting at beIN.
“As cyber threats continue to evolve, we remain focused on protecting our operations, platforms and audiences, while supporting Qatar’s wider cybersecurity and digital resilience goals,” he added.
The certification reinforces beIN’s focus on information security, operational resilience and digital trust across its global operations. It also supports the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, which include strengthening the country’s cybersecurity capabilities and developing a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.
