Memac Ogilvy wins big at the 41st edition of The One Show in New York, with Ramzi Moutran, creative director at Memac Ogilvy Dubai, being named number one creative director internationally. Memac Ogilvy also ranks number three within the advertising category, as well as number 13 overall.
“I am extremely honoured to receive this award. This would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of my entire team. Due to our great clients, we are able to continually produce effective and creative campaigns,” says Moutran, who shares the limelight with a fellow Dubai-based talent, Ben Knight, creative director at OgilvyAction, who joined him in the top ten creative directors list.
The One Show is a competition that celebrates the best in advertising, design, interactive media, branded entertainment and intellectual property and products. For the first time in the event’s history, finalists were not only awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils, but were also ranked across four creative categories. Within the advertising category, Memac Ogilvy ranks third receiving six Pencils and eight Merits for two campaigns, The Autocomplete Truth for UNWomen and Rescue Radio for Sawa Mninjah. The agency also celebrates a tremendous feat, ranking 13 globally from a pool of 463 agencies across 63 countries. In the face of 21,300 submissions, Ogilvy & Mather won 57 Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils, out of a total of 374 Pencils awarded at The One Show 2014.
“This is a phenomenal result that demonstrates the true quality of our creative talent. It is also a testament to the strong team work between the creative director and the management to help foster a relationship and environment of true excellence,” says managing director at Memac Ogilvy & Mather, Ronald Howes.
