Yango Group has made its first investment in the Middle East and North Africa region through its venture capital arm, Yango Ventures, by backing Dubai-based fintech startup Comfi AI in a Pre-Series A funding round, the company said.
The investment is part of Yango Group’s strategy to support early-stage companies developing infrastructure across fintech, logistics and small business services in emerging markets.
Comfi AI, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Dubai, provides embedded finance solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including buy now, pay later (BNPL), invoice discounting and dealer financing products. The company integrates financing tools into supplier workflows such as invoicing systems and partner platforms, enabling businesses to access funding within existing operational processes.
“Our strategy is to build and support infrastructure that enables business growth across markets,” Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group, said in a statement.
“We do this through our own products and by investing in companies that solve fundamental problems. Comfi AI is one of them: it integrates financing into transaction flows and reduces payment cycles from months to a single day, improving access to working capital. We believe such solutions can scale across a wide range of economies,” he added.
Comfi AI said it serves more than 1,000 SMEs across the MENA region. The platform has processed more than 15,000 invoices and is used by over 4,000 finance professionals.
Yango Ventures was launched in 2025 with a fund of up to $20 million. The fund invests in startups across MENA, Africa, Latin America and South Asia, focusing on infrastructure designed to support business growth in emerging markets.
The investment in Comfi AI adds embedded finance to Yango Ventures’ portfolio and represents the fund’s first investment in the MENA region.
