Publicis Groupe Middle East has appointed Zachary Bambach as Chief AI Officer, a newly created role aimed at accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence across the business.

The appointment reflects the Groupe’s focus on embedding AI more deeply into its operations and client offerings, with an emphasis on driving growth, performance and business transformation, Publicis Groupe said in a statement.

In his new role, Bambach will lead the regional AI agenda, supporting clients in achieving more connected, measurable and effective outcomes. He will also work to enhance the Groupe’s ability to deliver faster and more integrated solutions spanning creative, media, data and technology.

Bambach brings more than a decade of experience across AI, marketing and business transformation, including roles within Epsilon and the wider Publicis Groupe network. He has been involved in applying the Groupe’s proprietary AI platform, MRCL, across client work and operations, focusing on improving customer experience, efficiency and business performance through AI, data and marketing technology.

He has also held senior leadership positions at Epsilon, where he managed large-scale client portfolios and oversaw the integration of complex data and marketing technology platforms.

Bassel Kakish, CEO of Publicis Groupe Middle East & Turkey, said the creation of the role reflects the increasing importance of AI as a driver of growth and competitive advantage.

“AI is becoming one of the most important drivers of growth, efficiency and competitive advantage for our clients, and this role reflects our focus on putting it at the core of everything we do,” Kakish said.

Bambach said the region’s rapid pace of technological adoption presents significant opportunities for AI-driven transformation.

“AI is opening a huge amount of opportunity, but the real advantage right now is how quickly you can adapt and learn,” he said, adding that his focus will be on accelerating the use of existing capabilities and delivering measurable business impact.
