British advertising group M&C Saatchi said on Monday that its Chief Executive Officer, Zaid Al‑Qassab, will step down from his position on March 31 after serving in the role for less than two years, Reuters reported.
Al-Qassab, who previously served as chief marketing officer at Channel 4, was appointed CEO in 2024. During his tenure, he oversaw a major restructuring of the company’s operations.
The company said the restructuring reduced more than 40 separate businesses within the group to five integrated regional divisions. It also completed its first merger-and-acquisition deals in seven years during this period.
M&C Saatchi said Heather Rabbatts, the company’s non-executive chair, will take on the role of interim executive chair until a new chief executive is appointed. The firm added that it will begin a formal search process for Al-Qassab’s successor.
