Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai is adding 38 businesses across retail, dining and entertainment, with 21 already open and 17 more scheduled to launch by the end of 2027, Dubai Retail said on Monday.

Chemist Warehouse, Roxy Cinemas, Hopa Loompa Entertainment, Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket and Asia Kitchen are among the brands expected to join the mall’s tenant mix as it expands its offerings to shoppers and families.

The mall, which opened in 2005, attracts about 1.5 million visits a month and houses more than 350 businesses across its retail, dining and entertainment categories.

The latest additions include restaurants and cafes such as Five Guys, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, Marugame Udon and Caribou Coffee, alongside local and regional dining outlets Halla Shawarma, Zaika and Butter & Bread. Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory are among the upcoming food and beverage openings.

Roxy Cinemas will expand the mall’s leisure offering, while Hopa Loompa Entertainment will add a family-focused attraction. The developments build on recent openings including Zamania by Leo & Loona and Like Bricks, with Toy Station also preparing to open.

Retail additions include fashion, jewellery, sportswear, eyewear and lifestyle brands such as Jack & Jones, Anta, Tanishq, Magrabi, Mumuso and Suit Sartoria. OWNDAYS and Puzzle Supplements are also scheduled to open, alongside Chemist Warehouse, Midi, My Shops and Cantata.

The expansion also covers services aimed at residents in surrounding communities, with ADCB, Amit Care, Doctor M, Melodica and Desco Copy & Print Centre among the new and upcoming businesses.

Dubai Retail said the broader tenant mix reflected residential growth around the mall and efforts to strengthen its appeal as both a shopping destination and a provider of everyday services.

Named after the 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta, the mall features six themed courts inspired by his travels.
