In collaboration with Communicate, Dubai Media City is bringing back its DMConnect brunch series. The first edition will explore the potential impact of AI on the advertising and marketing industry in a first-of-its-kind debate format.
Brands across the globe have started tapping into the potential of machine learning and AI in collecting personalized and effective consumer insights. The global AI software market is set to grow rapidly in the coming years. The biggest names in the tech industry including Microsoft, IBM, Google, and Samsung have invested heavily in both AI acquisitions and related research and development. With that stated, the question, “Will AI replace humans?” remains.
As a region that has been investing and molding itself into the technology’s many facets, it is imperative to discuss the implications of AI on the various growing industries. Dubai Media City in collaboration with Communicate is hosting its first edition of the DMConnect Brunch series to discuss - The impact of AI, is it a friend or a foe to the advertising or the marketing industry?
This brunch session will present a debate that will argue both sides to the application of AI in the industry. Paul Hamilton, Managing Director for the MENA region at Ogilvy will open the stage with an introductory session briefing the audience on how AI is transforming the marketing industry. Following this, a structured debate, dividing the room into two groups - For AI and Against AI, will commence.
The debate will be led by a group of carefully shortlisted group of marketing professionals based out of the region, featuring – Jennifer Fischer, Chief Innovation and Growth Officer at Publicis Groupe Middle East, Rafael Lavor, Head of Strategy at TBWA\RAAD Middle East, Aysel Kazimova, Regional Business Marketing for MENA region at Snap Inc., Anthony Permal, Independent Digital, Multichannel & Omnichannel Advisor and Heba Sayed, Strategy Leader, IBM Hybrid Cloud and AI, Middle East, and Africa – IBM.
A verdict concluding the arguments will be announced by Hamilton with key insights gathered from the session.
