MENA Effie awards mark 16th edition with grand celebration in Riyadh

Against the backdrop of Riyadh Season 2025, the MENA Effie Awards celebrated their 16th year of recognizing top marketing work across MENA. The event held on Friday evening drew more than 800 leaders from the region’s advertising, media, and communications industries.

This year’s edition honored over 100 winners across 60+ categories, selected from 800+ entries. A distinguished jury of industry experts evaluated the campaigns for creativity, strategy, and measurable impact.

Nissan Middle East, Garnier, Subway, Floward, and Almarai were among the standout Gold winners, recognized for innovative storytelling and bold campaign approaches. PUCK – FP7 McCann Dubai and CURRENT GLOBAL clinched the prestigious Grand Prix, the night’s top honor.

Silver winners included du, BEYTI, LEGO, Shahid, LUX, Mobily, and Spotify, while Bronze honors went to brands such as Chevrolet and KitKat. Organizers noted a strong rise in direct brand entries this year, reflecting growing engagement with the Effie platform.

Peace Cake was named Most Effective Independent Agency of the Year, while FP7 McCann Dubai earned Most Effective Advertising Agency Office of the Year.

FP7 also secured Most Effective Agency Network of the Year.

PHD UAE won Most Effective Media Agency Office of the Year.

In individual honors, Nabil Sleiman, Head of Marketing Communications at Almarai, was awarded Senior Marketer of the Year 2025, and Moustafa Wehbe, Influencers & Promoters Manager at MDLBeast LLC, received Young Marketer of the Year 2025.

A special highlight of the evening was a session with international actor and comedian Mo Amer, moderated by Jared Smith of MBC Loud FM, exploring the craft and evolution of Amer’s creative career.

Organized by NordStella, and held under Riyadh Season 2025 in partnership with SMC الوسائل, the gala was supported by sponsors including Chupachups, Ferrero Rocher, Halo AI, Yango Ads, Max Fashion, Meta, Circana, Kraken Production Studio, and others.
