Destream, a global content monetisation platform, has expanded its operations to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), aiming to strengthen payment infrastructure for creators and influencers in the region.
The move is expected to create new income opportunities for digital entrepreneurs by enabling faster, more flexible payment solutions tailored to the needs of the growing creator economy.
With the GCC launch, destream will allow locally based creators to generate secure payment links, accept payments in multiple currencies from international audiences, and receive quicker payouts through its Mastercard debit card. The platform also offers a built-in eSIM feature for creators who travel frequently and require uninterrupted connectivity for content production and live engagement.
“The GCC is one of the most dynamic and promising regions for the creator economy today. As more influencers and digital entrepreneurs relocate to the region, demand for fast and frictionless payments is rising, and destream addresses this need effectively,” said Tachat Igityan, CEO and Founder of destream.
The expansion comes as the GCC positions itself as a key hub in the global creator economy. Over the past two years, the region’s creator ecosystem has expanded by nearly 75%, reaching approximately 263,000 influencers across sectors including lifestyle, fashion, finance and entertainment. Industry estimates suggest that the GCC influencer marketing market crossed $315.5 million in 2025, with continued long-term growth projected.
Destream, which is already used by creators across Europe and other markets, supports monetisation on major platforms such as Twitch, YouTube and Instagram. The company said its GCC entry aligns with its broader strategy of building financial tools that match the scale and ambition of emerging creator markets.
“Our mission is to make monetization more accessible for creators by providing simple, and more importantly, reliable payment infrastructure that allows them to focus on creativity, instead of thinking about how they will receive the next payment. We are here to support the next generation of digital entrepreneurs in the region,” continues Mr Igityan.
Earlier in January, the company introduced its services to regional influencers at the 1 Billion Followers Summit, one of the region’s largest creator-focused events, which featured global digital personalities including MrBeast. Destream said its participation helped it engage directly with creators and showcase its platform to the local market.
