TOD, a sports and entertainment streaming platform operated by beIN MEDIA GROUP, said it will provide comprehensive coverage of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 to audiences across the Middle East and North Africa, as broadcasters and digital platforms compete to expand access to major global sporting events in the region.
The Winter Olympics are scheduled to take place from Feb. 6 to Feb. 22, 2026, bringing together athletes from around the world to compete across venues in northern Italy. Events will include figure skating, alpine skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, biathlon and speed skating, among others.
TOD said viewers in the MENA region will be able to access live broadcasts, highlights, expert analysis and on-demand replays through its platform, part of an effort to provide flexible viewing options as streaming services gain ground over traditional television.
The platform said its coverage would include both headline competitions and lesser-known events, aiming to give regional audiences a broader view of the Games and the athletes competing in them.
In a statement, TOD said the initiative reflects its strategy to expand access to premier international sports and connect regional viewers with global sporting moments. The company did not disclose financial details of the broadcasting arrangement.
Streaming services have been investing heavily in sports rights in recent years, seeking to attract subscribers with live events that remain among the most reliable drivers of viewership. In the Middle East and North Africa, demand for premium sports content has grown alongside rising broadband penetration and increased adoption of connected devices.
TOD, launched in 2022, offers subscription-based streaming of sports and entertainment programming across MENA and Turkey. The service provides multilingual content and supports high-definition and 4K streaming, features the company says are intended to improve accessibility and viewing quality for a diverse regional audience.
The Milano Cortina Games will be the latest major international tournament available on the platform, as operators in the region continue to compete for rights to global sporting events to strengthen subscriber growth and engagement.
