The operation will be led by Puja Pannum, Blismedia’s managing director, Middle East.
Pannum has previously held senior sales roles at Microsoft, AOL and Yahoo. Most recently, she operated as the business development director at digital media company Reach MENA.
She will report to Paul Thompson, vice-president EMEA at Blis, who oversees the company’s regional sales operations and strategy.
“Dubai is a strategic choice for Blis’ international expansion roadmap and our market entry is bolstered by the addition of [Pannum], one of the top media experts in the region,” said Harry Dewhirst, president of Blismedia.
“Establishing operations in Dubai, the region’s major media and commercial hub, ensures we are well positioned to engage top media agencies to strategize, execute and provide in-depth consultation for on-ground campaigns,” he added.
The UK-based company is aiming for rapid international growth and opened offices in Hong Kong and Australia earlier this year.
Founded in 2004, its clients include Mini, Spotify and Procter & Gamble.
