Publicis Groupe MENA announced in a press statement the resignation of Alex Saber, Chairman of Publicis Media MENA. The company said in a statement that Alex will leave office end of May.
“Alex has played a critical role in the development, growth and success of Publicis Media in the region. He is leaving to start the next chapter of his career. We wish him the very best of luck in his new personal endeavors,” Raja Trad, Chairman, Publicis Groupe MEA said in a statement.
Alex Saber said in the statement that“It is the end of over a three-decade journey with the Groupe. I am very thankful for the opportunities that were given to me by the Groupe. I am proud of the fact that I was able to lead a group of talented people which has led to Publicis Media MENA becoming the pre-eminent media agency in the region.” He added “As I leave to pursue other interests I am confident that the operation is in the hands of strong and talented leaders who are committed to continue growing Publicis Media across the region”.
Publicis said that the Media Brands and Practices will report directly to Raja Trad, Chairman, Publicis Groupe MEA, as the Groupe works together to optimize their media capabilities. This will happen with the direct support of the Groupe CTO, Bashar Abdulkarim and the Groupe CFO, Bassel Kakish.
“Alex has developed and led a committed team, each of whom plays an integral role in the everyday running of our successful media brands and practices. He leaves Publicis Media in a very strong position, with great leaders for future growth and we sincerely thank him for his leadership and contribution”, further added Raja Trad.
