Snap, which opened its Dubai office early last year, is headed by ex-Yahoo veteran Hussein Freijeh as managing director. He is supported by Jake Thomas, ex-LinkedIn, as head of agency development, and Rami Saad, ex-deputy COO of DMS, as head of content.
Now, it has appointed Choueiri Group’s digital arm, DMS, to act as sales representative in Kuwait and Egypt.
DMS will offer the following four formats:
Snapchat offers robust measurement and targeting for all advertisers. They receive metrics on their Snap Ads, showing impressions, completions, eCPM, eCPV etc., and metrics on their Filters showing swipes, views, shares, reach, share rate etc. Snapchat also offers multiple pre-defined audiences for advertisers, such as Snap Lifestyle Categories, Snap Audience Match, and age, gender, location, device, and carrier targeting.
Michel Malkoun, DMS COO says in a statement: “This move demonstrates that Egypt & Kuwait are important markets for Snapchat, and that they are investing in local support to help brands get the most out of the platform. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership”.
Hussein Freijeh, General Manager of Snap Inc. in the Middle East adds: “It is a priority to ensure advertisers across the region are up to speed on what Snapchat has to offer. This partnership with DMS will help us better support brands in Kuwait and Egypt and we are excited for what the future holds.”
