JCDecaux unveils first digital screen network in Oman

JCDecaux SA (Euronext Paris: DEC), the global outdoor advertising company, has unveiled a new network of HD (high definition) digital screens at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport, in conjunction with OAMC (Oman Airports Management Company).

The 103-inch premium quality screens, with high performance and cutting-edge design are located in the baggage reclaim areas of both airports. The new HD landscape format screens have been centrally positioned and integrated into the architecture of the building to provide advertisers with optimal visibility. They have been strategically placed along the passenger journey, to stand out in a highly targeted advertising space.

The new network of screens will also feature JCDecaux’s specialized content management system, which allows tailored advertising in the form of targeted or live campaigns. For instance, the system can target specific flights from specific countries, change the creative from day to night, or broadcast live content.

David Bourg, CEO at JCDecaux Middle East says: “The installation of this new network of high-definition digital screens at Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport marks a significant step forward in enhancing the outdoor advertising landscape in Oman. In addition, this new advertising solution strengthens our digital footprint in the Middle East with now 500 digital screens across the airports in the region. Samer Ahmed Al Nabhani, chief commercial officer at OAMC, adds: “We are pleased to see these impressive screens, which are the first of their kind in Oman, going live in Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport. Our partnership with JCDecaux means that this impressive network of screens will place us at the forefront of innovation and creativity, whilst also enhancing the advertising landscape and creating a more enjoyable passenger experience”.

The launch of these new screens underlines JCDecaux Oman’s ability to deploy the next generation of out of home digital advertising media, in addition to an already wide-ranging platform of traditional advertising, sponsorship and experiential solutions.
