Chain Reaction appoints Mohamad Itani as COO to support regional growth

Digital marketing agency Chain Reaction has appointed Mohamad Itani as chief operating officer as it seeks to expand its data-driven and integrated marketing services across the Middle East and North Africa, the company said.

Itani will oversee operational strategy and organisational development as the agency scales its full-funnel marketing and digital transformation offering across the region.

The appointment comes as Chain Reaction, founded more than 15 years ago as a performance-focused digital agency, expands into broader services including data analytics, creative, technology and strategic consultancy.

Chief Executive Saif Jarad said the hire reflected the company’s shift toward a more integrated growth model.

“Mohamad’s depth of experience across platforms, agencies and regional markets will be invaluable as we evolve into a full-funnel growth partner,” Jarad said in a statement.

More than two decades of experience

Itani has more than two decades of experience in digital transformation, media and partnerships across the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and Europe.

Most recently, he was part of the leadership team behind the expansion of Amazon Ads, serving as head of partnerships for its Europe, Middle East and Africa operations. In that role, he worked on building regional partner ecosystems and scaling teams across multiple markets.

He previously served as vice chair of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) MENA, where he worked with industry stakeholders on digital standards and talent development.

Itani said his focus at Chain Reaction would be on strengthening operational processes and integration across teams.

“My focus will be on strengthening operational excellence and enabling our teams to deliver integrated, outcome-driven solutions for clients across the region,” he said.

Chain Reaction employs more than 190 staff across offices in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt, providing services including performance marketing, social media consultancy, data analytics and creative development.
