Hussein Freijeh to lead Snap’s APAC and MENA operations

November 25, 2025

Snap Inc. has expanded Hussein Freijeh’s remit to include leadership of the Asia-Pacific region, appointing him Vice President for both APAC and MENA as the company sharpens its international growth strategy.

The move follows Freijeh’s track record in launching and growing Snap’s presence in the Middle East and comes as APAC remains one of the company’s fastest-expanding markets.

Snap said the unified leadership structure is aimed at accelerating momentum across two of its most dynamic regions. Ajit Mohan, Chief Business Officer at Snap Inc., said the combined responsibilities reflect Freijeh’s “deep experience navigating complex, fast-evolving markets” and his long tenure within the company.

Freijeh described the expanded role as a “privilege,” adding that MENA and APAC are “two of the most dynamic, creative, and fast-moving regions in the world,” and highlighted plans to strengthen partnerships, boost community investment, and shape products tailored to local audiences.

APAC remains a strategic priority for Snap, with more than 250 million monthly users in India, an expanding export business in China, and established communities in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia — making the region central to Snap’s next phase of international growth.
