After Johnnie Walker, McDonald’s, the food giant also saluted women on their international day. The famous arch was turned upside down to represent a “W” as a tribute for women.
The stunt was pulled at a branch in Lynwood, California, as it had passers-by baffled by the striking sign. In addition to the sign, McDonald’s has also changed their logos on social media such as Twitter and Facebook.
In a statement,Wendy Lewis, global chief diversity officer said, “In celebration of women everywhere, and for the first time in our brand history, we flipped our iconic arches for International Women’s Day in honor of the extraordinary accomplishments of women everywhere and especially in our restaurants.”
In Lebanon, McDonald’s also posted a message on their Lebanese social media.
