Yahoo has introduced a new native advertising format for the MENA market, Yahoo Stream Ads. Rolling out today and over the coming weeks, the new format will be available on both the Arabic and English regional homepages and across desktop, tablet and mobile.
Yahoo Stream Ads, designed to be delivered in the right context to enhance and not disrupt the user experience are seamlessly integrated with the content of a page and whilst clearly marked, are designed to look and act just like the stories and format around them.
“Since launching our redesigned Yahoo news stream in March, users have responded with an increased level of engagement, and we are now committed to delivering engaging and effective advertising opportunities,” said in a statement Hussein Freijeh, managing director of Yahoo Maktoob.
Freijeh continued: “This is an exciting step forward as we continue to launch more engaging, native advertising opportunities that are consistent across Yahoo, as well as across desktop, tablet and mobile. According to eMarketer, it is predicted that by 2017, there will be 3.8 billion mobile devices connected to the Internet globally, almost two billion more than today. This calls for new ad formats which offer far more immersive and contextual experiences that can be optimised across different screens, and Stream Ads can offer just that.”
