December 2 will see the launch of travall, a free mobile app for Android and iOS that functions as a video guide and aims to create “pre-mories” – experiences of a destination before visitors reach there.
The app, which has been developed in the UAE, “aims to change the way tourists and residents in the UAE review and book various activities,” it says in a press statement. Users can check accommodation, dining, venues, clubs, and clinics by watching a 30 or 60-second video and can also record their own reviews.
Other features include building an itinerary for the trip, making reservations, sharing details on social media, rating and reviewing an outlet, redeeming free vouchers and availing last minute promotions. Users will be incentivized heavily through points for engagement resulting in prizes and rewards, totaling $100,000 at the moment.
Adam Ridgway, CEO of travall says in the statement: “We’re super excited to launch in Dubai on the 2nd December, and travall is set for further expansion in other Emirates early in 2015. In 2015 we are taking the brand international to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, India, Mexico, South Africa and the USA”. The brand has already signed up with clients such as Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, Anantara, Sofitel, Cle, Dubai World Trade Centre and RTA.
