As the first bank to launch a scam-like campaign supported by influencers, SAIB is leading the way in using creative deception to highlight fraud tactics and teach audiences how to recognize and avoid online scams.
With fraudsters becoming increasingly sophisticated, the campaign creatively simulates real-life scam tactics, turning near-deception into teachable moments. One standout activation unfolded in cinemas, where audiences were presented with an ad inviting them to scan a QR code offering an irresistible deal. Upon scanning, their phones appeared to glitch as if hacked, setting the stage for a dramatic on-screen reveal. The audience was addressed directly by an influencer delivering a compelling anti-fraud awareness message, making the experience both impactful and unforgettable.
In another bold move, the campaign collaborated with a well-known comedian to produce a satirical tutorial film titled “Learn to Scam in 90 Seconds.” Presented as a tongue-in-cheek guide for aspiring fraudsters, the film humorously exposed the tricks used by scammers. By flipping the narrative, this activation educated viewers on how to recognize and avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
These creative elements were part of a larger three-phase strategy—Tease, Reveal, and Engage—that ensures the message is both captivating and memorable. Through its influencer-led approach and engaging content, the campaign turns the fight against fraud into an accessible, relatable, and actionable movement.
Under the slogan "بحرصنا، حيلهم #ما ـ تمشي ـ علينا " ("With our caution, their tricks won’t work"), the campaign aspires to build a nation where fraud has no place. By leveraging popular social media platforms like Snapchat and TikTok, the initiative ensures its message resonates with younger, tech-savvy audiences who are among the most targeted by scammers.
