Jio El Wadi, Senior Executive Strategy & Insights, Digitas ME #30under30
I was a curious kid who couldn’t stop asking “why”.
I was not someone who fit into boxes; was always unconventional.
I am a strategist with a passion for connecting dots between people, culture, and brands
I am not willing to settle for the obvious or take the easy route when the extraordinary is possible.
I shall be a voice that influences how we define success in strategy—less about perfection, more about authenticity and impact.
I shall not be a passive bystander to opportunities that could change lives or industries.
I like it when collaboration feels like alchemy.
I dislike it when people prioritize ego over purpose.
My biggest ambition is to create work that is remembered not just for its creativity, but for the way it impacted lives and shifted perspectives.
My biggest worry is losing sight of the ‘why’ behind what I do in the rush of daily deadlines and expectations.
I am most proud of moments when I’ve taken a risk, stood my ground.
I am a bit ashamed that I sometimes let self-doubt delay action when I know deep down I’m ready.
Looking back, probably I should have asked for help sooner in moments I felt overwhelmed; vulnerability is strength.
Looking back, probably I should not have said yes to things that didn’t align with my values just to please others.
It all fell apart when I realized you can’t rely solely on talent; consistency and hard work are non-negotiable.
Things made sense when I started focusing less on what people expect from me and more on what I genuinely want to create.
Eventually things will work out if you stay curious, adaptable, and resilient.
Eventually things will not feel fulfilling if you’re only chasing external validation.
Someone once advised me that "Don’t just chase opportunities—create them."
I once advised someone that "You’re not defined by the job title you hold; you’re defined by the impact you create."
If I had a superpower it would be the ability to read minds.
My superpower in real life is researching the unsolvable.
The word I use most is “Solution.” It’s at the core of everything I do—finding answers, resolving challenges, and unlocking potential.
The word I dislike most is "Can’t"—it feels like the opposite of possibility and growth.
This too shall pass reminds me that no success or failure is permanent, but what you learn from it is.
My most treasured passion is storytelling—whether it’s through brands, campaigns, or personal connections, stories create meaning.
People should be more intentional about the way they treat others.
People should be less quick to judge.
I wish to thank the mentors who challenged me, the friends who cheered me on, and the family who believed in me long before I believed in myself.
